Objective

The aim is to conduct scientific studies and support research in the key areas of environmental protection, economic growth, and social development— the three pillars of sustainability. This involves closely monitoring global and local trends, setting both long- and short-term goals, and developing strategies to ensure a sustainable future for next generations. 

Why Sustainability?

Sustainability, coupled with the effective and efficient use of existing resources, allows us to pass them on to future generations without depleting them. By enhancing and preserving the resources we have, we can prepare a better tomorrow for the generations to come. In this regard, every activity we undertake, both nationally and internationally, must be executed with growth and progress across all social, environmental, and economic areas, guided by the goal of sustainable development. For this reason, the BUSAM (Istanbul Beykent University Strategic Research Centre) Sustainability Research Unit has been established to conduct research and contribute to scientific studies in the field of sustainability, which is vital for both our generation and those that follow.
